About HundredX and Beth Torah

For their November Give@Work team project, the Richardson site is participating in the HundredX Causes fundraiser supporting Congregation Beth Torah in Richardson, Texas.  HundredX is a mission driven market research company that provides insights and analytics to companies.  Instead of hiring focus groups, HundredX works with selected non-profits to bring together their supporters across the United States for a 30-day campaign to provide feedback on the companies and brands the participants care about.

Each feedback completed earns Congregation Beth Torah up to $2 and each participant can submit up to 75 pieces of feedback, which earns Beth Torah $150.

David Duchin, a Richardson site team member since 2012, volunteers at Congregation Beth Torah and serves on the Board of Directors as the Vice President of Development and Fundraising.  During the summer of 2021, David read an article in the Dallas Morning News about the unique way HundredX supports charities.  He chaired Beth Torah’s HundredX program in October 2021 and raised over $15,000.  Last year about 250 supporters participated, including about a dozen from Qualfon.

For 2022, David negotiated a commitment from HundredX for Beth Torah to earn up to $25,000 when its supporters provide 12,500 pieces of feedback before December 6.  David contacted the Qualfon Mission office to share this Virtual Volunteering opportunity with Qualfon.  It is an easy and meaningful way to give a few minutes of your time to help a worthy non-profit earn money and you help fulfill the Qualfon mission. A win-win combination.

Congregation Beth Torah, an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit founded in 1974, is a participatory, egalitarian, modern, Conservative Jewish synagogue serving North Dallas and its surrounding communities. They embrace and support life cycle needs and include all people and all ages of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and abilities.  They have programs and events that support the concept of “Tikkun Olam,” Hebrew for “repair of the world.”  The idea that people are called upon to make the world a better place through acts of charity, kindness, and social action. A concept aligned with the Qualfon mission to “Make each person's life better.”  A few example events and programs are providing made-from-scratch meals for families at the Ronald McDonald House, providing hundreds of decorated and stuffed duffle bags for kids transitioning through foster care, and providing clothing, food, and training at the Richardson Network of Community Ministries.  Funds raised from HundredX will be designated specifically for a project to further the mission and vision of the organization, allowing Beth Torah to better plan and execute events that support our greater community.

Quarter 4 - Children

Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit public charity is the fundraising, funding and support organization for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program.  The Foundation was created at the behest of the U.S. Marine Corps and provides support in accordance with a Memorandum of Understanding with the Commander, Marine Forces Reserve, who directs the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program.  The Foundation has supported Toys for Tots since 1991.

The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
